Our Sims 2 Houses section is now back online after a short break. Aside from sorting out shiny new photos of everything, we've also been checking over all our houses to fix any problems, update old custom content included in some of them, remove any spare Expansion Pack requirements and all sorts of things!We've got a few new houses, plus a few make-overs of old items that we felt needed a bit of a spring clean! Don't forget you can also find a wide selection of new houses in our 6th anniversary event which is now online for the next week or few!
Expansion Pack Filtering
In general Sims 2 houses will require all the Expansion and Stuff packs the creator had installed when they made the house. Of course not everyone is lucky enough to have lots of Sims 2 Expansions, so if you are missing some packs, you can use our Houses Expansion Pack filter to disable houses that you can't use.
You will find this filter located at the top of every page in this section, below the menu. To use it simply click to disable any packs you don't have. Disabled packs will be shown with a greyed out icon. Then pick a category from the Houses menu as you would normally and you will only see houses that fit your selection. If you get a new pack, simply click the corresponding icon to turn it back on again - when you choose a category, the selection will be updated accordingly.
Some categories will always require a particular 'default' expansion. Dorms will always require University, Home Businesses will always require Open for Business, Hotels will always require Bon Voyage and Apartments will always require Apartment Life.

Don't forget, you will need the CEP from ModTheSims for any houses that contain custom furniture. We STRONGLY recommend that you use the Clean Pack Installer to install Sims2Pack files to your game. Using the default game installer can cause serious problems for your game and does not allow you to check what custom content is included in a lot BEFORE you install it (amongst many other problems!).
Any Recolors or Repository Objects that don't 'stick' to the lot file will be included in the download zip
