Kate Reports: Most pressing bit of news is there is now ONE creator vacancy for Sims 3 Houses - details can be found here. Apply quickly before someone takes it, or before I change my mind. Whichever happens first :D

For a change I've actually finished a site project ON TIME! Furniture 2 fixes are now complete and all our Sims 2 lots that have Parsimonious objects in them, have been checked and updated where needed so you shouldn't get any out-of-date versions if you download our houses.

I had hoped to be working on Sims 3 furniture at this point, but like so many other people, my Ambitions game is too bug ridden. I simply can't tell if it's my furniture or the game that has a problem (I suspect it's the game as all the objects I've made so far worked fine with the base game/WA). Having learned the hard way not to publish things until I'm fully confident in them, I've decided to wait for the patch (or 2nd/3rd patch) before continuing on with making objects. Since it's been a year's delay already, a few more weeks or months really won't make that much of a difference.

This has given me a bit of unexpected time off to catch up with sorting out our Sims 3 houses categories, making some tomb lots and even having the occasional break from Parsimonious (shocking I know...). I KNOW that there are lots of impatient visitors waiting around for clothing updates for both Sims 2 and 3. All I can say is, since ALL our other skinners have retired, you'll just have to wait until I'm in the mood to make skins. Whenever that is.

Kate Reports: It's not often I find myself ahead of schedule, but Sims 2 furniture fixes are currently going better than planned. Lets hope it lasts. It has to be admitted I am now royally sick of dealing with SimPE nonsense, it's time to move on to something else!

I haven't sent it out for a long time now, but as of this month I am officially declaring our newsletter to be dead after my last 5 attempts to send it out failed. Instead we're going to do what every other website on Earth is already doing, and that is to make use of the various social networking sites. Twitter users can opt to follow us, Facebook etc, to come later and when I can be bothered to set them up (eta. Facebook now available - see footer below for link).

Kate Reports: Parsimonious quietly celebrated our 7th anniversary on May 2nd this year. Usually we post a special themed event to celebrate our anniversaries, but sadly with just 6 of us in residence, and a lot of over-due problems and issues to deal with, we didn't have the spare 6 months we'd usually spend, to prepare an event.

Behind the scenes I'm slowly working on changes to the website and our content management system - if parts of the site look wonky or don't work, please refresh your web browser and if that fails... well thank you for your patience, and I'll try and get it sorted out soon!

Mostly I'm focusing on trying to deal with overdue problems in Sims 2 Furniture, once these are finally complete and all our houses with Parsimonious CC have been updated accordingly, then I will have time to finish enough sets to open Sims 3 Furniture. After 7+ years of attempting to run a Sims custom content website, I know better than to give you all a definitive date of when this grand opening might happen, but I am aiming for sometime in June/July, which means it may actually happen sometime this year... you never know....
