Here you can download original walls, floors & terrain paints for The Sims 3.
After much careful consideration it has been decided NOT to include any variations so as to not clutter up your wall and floor catalogs with more options than necessary. Of course you can instead just use the Create-A-Style Tool in game to re-pattern and recolour these in any ways you want to decorate houses for your Sims (and houses you've made to share with other Simmers too).
You can see how many channels and which areas of each design can have patterns applied by hovering your mouse over this little Create-A-Style icon which you'll see on all walls and floors. This opens a channel mask image, the red, yellow, pink and white areas show the different 'channels' which you can apply Create-A-Style patterns to in game, any stencils or other bits that can't be coloured will also be shown on the overlay.
All walls and floors use only base game patterns and all items have been tested with The Sims 3 only and with up to Ambitions (since there were some changes to the file format with Ambitions onwards making some older walls and floors you might find on other sites, not work properly with later EP's). Obviously if you do have any problems with a particular file then remove it from your game.
You are welcome to use these in houses and worlds you are sharing online.
They will be automatically included when you export a house/world that uses them, so you don't need to put a separate copy of the file in your download zip. Obviously you are welcome to re-style the walls and floors when you use them in this way, they do not need to be used only 'as is' with their default pattern choices!
